Spencer became interested in the healthcare field while completing her degree in biology at McMaster University. She recently completed her advanced diploma in Chiropody with distinction at the Michener Institute in 2024 and has had hands-on experience in both private and community practice settings. She has since returned to the Michener Institute as an Assistant Professor for first year clinical courses. A lifelong learner, she enjoys attending conferences and workshops to ensure she is up to date with the research to offer her patients the best care possible. Recently, she completed a micro credential course on lymphedema and chronic edema through the University of Alberta.
As an avid dancer, she was first introduced to the chiropody field after an injury and was intrigued by the diverse and variable nature of the practice. She holds a particular interest in injury rehabilitation and prevention and is dedicated to keeping up to date with the latest treatment breakthroughs and information.
Outside of work, Spencer loves cooking and continues to ballroom dance with her husband, Casey.
